Privacy & your data
dcRep is designed to be transparent about what it sees and to put members in control of their own reputation data.
What dcRep reads
- Only public server activity in channels the bot has access to — messages, reactions, and thread participation used to compute scores.
- Never your DMs, and never servers where dcRep isn’t installed.
- Basic Discord profile details (username, avatar, IDs) needed to show profiles and map activity to the right person.
Bot and webhook messages are ignored entirely, and an admin can exclude any channel from scoring during setup.
Opting out
Any member can run /opt-out (or use the web settings) to leave public reputation. While opted out you’re removed from leaderboards and your public profile is hidden. Opt back in at any time.
Exporting your data
Members can export their own reputation data, and admins can export their server’s data, as a downloadable file from the dashboard (export is available on supported plans).
Deleting your data
You can request deletion from the settings page. A request is processed within 30 days, after which your data is purged and you’re removed from leaderboards. There’s a short grace window so an accidental request can be canceled.
